Alpha Pool Services installed our pool heater just prior to family coming to visit for a Thanksgiving week vacation. Delivery, installation and hook-up all took place just in time to have a nice warm pool when the family arrived. We were very pleased with the work that was done and the electrician they used was top notch. There were a couple water leaks after the installation. Don came back as promised and took care of one of them and Sy made sure the manufacturer came out right away to fix a leak in the unit itself. The unit we purchased was a Gulfstream HE-150. Gulfstreamâ s service tech fixed the internal leak in no time at all. I would recommend Alpha Pool Services and Gulfstream to anyone considering a pool heater installation.

He explained the entire process to us, gave us all of his licensing and insurance information up front, and communicated with me every step of the job. We are thrilled with our new heater and the value it added to our property. Would highly recommend!

This company was always available if we had a problem with the pool. They are polite and responsive. Before we hired them we had another company who told us that our resurfaced pool coating was coming off and that was why it was hazy. I called Alpha and they found the problem quickly and it was just high in phosphates. They corrected the problem immediately and we have had no concerns from that point on. They are less expensive also.

I have just hired them. However for the different categories: -Work Quality seems very good and very personable and polite and pool is clean -Customer Service seems, so far, absolutely outstanding. Sy seems that he would bend over backwards to help a customer. As I stated up front, it is only recent that I hired them. At first blush, it seems as though Alph is the right company. I suggest, if they do not already do it, you ask back at 6 months and 1 year.

Having a pool heater installed was an excellent idea and I am very happy I chose Sy Scher at Alpha Pools to do the job. He was friendly and knowledgeable and the installation was done quickly and with no mess. The unit works perfectly, and we are able to enjoy the pool year-round. All other contractors wanted to charge extra for electrical hookup, which would cost $1300-2000 more. Alpha included this in their price. They were courteous, prompt, and offered many pool heater BTU and manufacturer options. Much better value than any other contractor!

The company's initial response was prompt, replacement of the failed pump completed the following day after the appropriate device was ordered, & the pool was operating properly immediately thereafter. The weekly pool service they described in written documents was deemed superior to others; thus they will be contracted for maintenance hereafter.

We make sure that our service professional businesses carry any applicable state-level trade licensing for the services for which we match them to consumers.
Sex Offender Search
We check the websites that consolidate state sex offender information in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located to confirm that there is not a match based solely on the name of the owner/principal of the company.
Legal Search for Civil Judgments
We use third-party data sources to check the owner/principal of each business for bankruptcy filings, liens, and significant state-level civil legal judgments, in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located, occurring within 12 months prior to the service professional’s application for membership in the HomeAdvisor network.
State Business Filings
For service professionals that are corporations or limited liability companies, we confirm that the business is registered in the state in which it is located.
Criminal Records Search
We use third party data sources to conduct a criminal search, in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located, for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business, within the three years prior to such service professional's application for membership in the HomeAdvisor network. HomeAdvisor’s third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen our service professionals. The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state.
